The Carbon Tax Is a Poor Idea That Cannot Happen

The carbon tax is something that will not actually solve problems for companies and governments around the world who are concerned about carbon emissions. The carbon emissions that are seen from so many companies are polluting the air, but it is hard to tax companies that will not submit to complete regulation of their products and plants. Also, there are too many companies to watch. The plan has many faults, and it is wise to actually think about this plan instead of thinking that we will get millions from the biggest polluters.

The biggest problem with this plan is that companies lie. They lie all the time about everything that they do. They will find a way to get around paying for the emissions that they have made, or they will find a way to report less than what they actually put into the atmosphere. There are many companies with these resources, and it does not take much for them to set up a scheme that help them avoid the tax.

The next problem is that many companies will be put out of business because they are not billion-dollar companies. Smaller companies will lose all their money to the tax even though they might be doing good work on behalf of industry. Companies like this will likely not lie, and if they do, they will be the first to get caught. People will be out of jobs, and there will legal scandals looming over these companies for years to come.

The companies that are small need help converting to something that is much cleaner, and they need to be certain that they will not be penalized by the government. Instead of taxing the smaller companies, the government needs to help them do better work. The tax on the larger level does not have much teeth to it because these companies are alreayd getting so much back from the government when they pay their taxes each year.

Someone who is watching these companies carefully will find that they need to have real consequences for the things that they do. There are many companies that will never pay their fines, and they will get people very far down the food chain to go to jail for them. The only way for most of these companies to take this seriously is if one of their executives were to go to jail.

The last problem here is how all that regulation will look from the government side. The government is trying to get companies to do the right thing, but the government will spend billions just regulating these businesses. There are a lot of jobs to be crearted, but there ids too much to do. The process is just too complex, and that is where thre govenrment loses their way on regulation.

The government wants to take a hard line on what these companies are putting in the atmosphere, but the government could never keep up with these companies in terms of regulation. The companies that are going to lie will have an easy time getting past someone who was hired off the street to check up on them. Ultimately, the government will never make any money from this, and they will start losing money because they have to pump so much money in to the regulation of these companies.

The largest polluters in the world do not care that they are polluting, and there is no way to make them care unless it is possible for an executive to go to jail. These executives will simply pay the taxes or lie about how much their company has put into the air.

The government has good intentions, but they do not have the means to make their regulations stick. The government makes it very hard for companies to do business, but they cannot stop them from doing what they would have done in the first place. Emissions must be managed in a new way.
