Frankly, I confess that to me presidential debates are like watching a bad reality show. Instead of being about why someone should be considered for the highest office in the land, it seems as all it has become is a set up for bad political campaign ad sound bites or childish playground spats. For the most part, that is what I witnessed in the Houston GOP debate. While many are giving thumbs up to Marco Rubio, who is constitutionally ineligible and shouldn’t even be up on stage, and Ted Cruz, also constitutionally ineligible and should not be on stage, the fact is that Donald Trump, once again, won hands down.
According to the Drudge Report, even though he was double-teamed by Cruz and Rubio, Donald Trump still won the debate with 53.3% of the vote, followed by Cruz with 20.83% and Rubio with 18.05%. Kasich and Carson should simply pack their bags at this point.
So far, here is how the delegates have stacked up for each of the men.

Texas could be an opportunity for Cruz to show strength since it’s his home state, but Breitbart reported on Thursday that Cruz and Trump are neck and neck in the state, with Trump holding onto his support and even gaining some.
The entire reason Trump is doing as well as he is doing is because he is riding the angry sentiment of voters. They are angry with Washington and he is perceived as an outsider, even though he’s been doing deals with many of these players in Washington all his life. While technically he is on the outside, the reality is that Trump knows what the inside is all about, and he told everyone who was willing to listen in the very first debate.
At this point, we’ll see what happens between the three front runners. After the Texas primary, either Cruz or Rubio will probably need to back up and evaluate dropping out. Frankly, I’m not excited about any of them. While Trump definitely brings entertainment and people definitely enjoy him being a part of the debates, the last thing we need in this country is more entertainment.
