Sometimes, I wonder why we even give kooks like Bill Nye the time of day, but since he is heard by thousands, if not millions of people, we are obligated to address his diabolical theories. His latest came on his Netflix series titled “Bill Nye Saves the World,” in which he contemplated whether or not parents should be penalized for having extra children.
In discussing Climate Change and alleged effects on society, Travis Rieder, a bioethicist at Johns Hopkins University, told Nye it was a good idea to penalize parents for having “extra kids” in the “developed world.”
“I do think that we should at least consider it,” he said.
“Well, ‘at least consider it’ is like ‘do it,’” Nye responded.

Nye, who also put out a sick video promoting gender confusion, was right in what he asserted. He just cut through the minutiae of what Rieder was saying, and encouraged him to just say “Yes, we should penalize them.”
Of course, the claim is that more children you have, the greater the impact on the environment, which is absolute nonsense, especially if you come from a Biblical background where one of God’s first commandments was,
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. -Genesis 1:28
He later reiterated it to Noah.
And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein. -Genesis 9:7
“One of the things that we could do that’s kind of (at) least policy-ish is we could encourage our culture and our norms to change, right?” Rieder said.
Sadly, too many people are pushing for the culture to change, and not for the better, I might add. We are seeing attempts to have the culture embrace sodomy, lesbianism, transgenderism, corrupt politicians, mind-altering drugs while shunning natural remedies, pedophiles, pedophilia, and the list goes on and on.
So, who will decide when those extra children start accumulating and what will be the penalty? Sounds like these people that want to “save the world” are actually condemning it to something similar to China’s one child policy, or maybe they might make room for two.
These are the same kinds of people that claim they want government out of their bedrooms, but provide their birth control or abortions. These are seriously mentally ill people.
One female pundit, Dr. Rachel Snow, chief of population development at the United Nations Population Fund, took issue with incentivizing people to have either fewer or more children.
“It’s about human rights,” she said. “People should have the number of children they want, the timing of children and if some families have 5 or 6 children, God bless them!”
The other female commenter on the show asked, “But when you talk about penalties, who are you going to end up penalizing?” as if to say that because one family has lots of children other people will somehow suffer because of that, which is a poor argument that has never been proven.
I agree with Snow, it’s none of government’s business how many children a family has, whether it’s one or 20. If the family can take care of those children, then I believe they are indeed “blessed by God.”
Our family has ten children and I believe we are not only blessed of God, but also that we will bless others around us. I’ll leave you with this passage from the Scriptures, which we have read to all our children immediately following their births.
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD. The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel. -Psalm 127-128
