Chick-fil-A More Than Doubled Sales Since Liberals Called For Boycott

Chick-fil-A has more than doubled its sales since critics have called for a boycott against them.

“Chick-fil-A’s annual sales have more than doubled since LGBT and liberal groups began calling for a boycott of the restaurant in 2012, according to an analysis,” reports Christian Headlines. “In 2012, when controversy arose over the CEO’s comments about same-sex marriage, sales totaled $4.6 billion, up from $4.1 billion the year before. In 2018, sales totaled $10.46 billion, making it the third-largest restaurant in the United States behind McDonald’s and Starbucks.”

In 2018, the company had $10.5 billion in total sales, becoming the third-largest chain in the nation behind Starbucks ($20.5 billion) and McDonald’s ($38.5 billion). It was a 16.7% increase in sales from the year prior.

An analysis credited the growth to a variety of factors, including the opening of nearly 700 more locations in recent years, low start-up costs, and digital sales via delivery apps.

There are now more than 2,400 locations nationwide, and the $10,000 in startup costs for an operator are significantly lower than the costs needed to open a McDonald’s.

The company’s growth has happened despite the calls for a boycott. More

The day of the so-called “boycott” in 2012, Chik-fil-A had the biggest day in the company’s history. My local restaurant was overwhelmed by customers, so many that it was impossible to get onto their parking lot. Lines to enter stretched outside. All because people wanted to show their support for a company wrongfully accused of bigotry.

I wish people would stop protesting Chick-fil-A, I’m tired of waiting in line.
