Convicted pedophile and former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle had only been in prison for less than months and now it’s being reported that a convicted robber has fed him a knuckle sandwich in a bloody prison brawl.

According to docs, Fogle got jumped in the rec yard at Englewood prison in Colorado back on January 29, and it was not much of a fight. An inmate named Steven Nigg pushed Fogle down and then unloaded a barrage of punches to his face.
Nigg, who’s in for a weapons charge, left Fogle with a bloody nose, swollen face and scratches on his neck. 60-year-old Nigg was also injured — a small cut on his left hand from delivering the whuppin’. Prison officials put Nigg in solitary as punishment.

We spoke to Nigg’s family and they’re not surprised. We’re told Steven’s pissed because so many child sex predators are housed in the low security facility, and Fogle was just the last straw.
Nigg’s nephew told the New York Daily News that Fogle is “lucky to be alive” considering his uncle attacked Fogle when no one was around.
“My uncle was in a position to kill him,” said Jimmy Nigg Jr. “No one was there. He got him down, then walked away. (My uncle’s) not a violent guy. He doesn’t have a violent history.”
“He’s sending a message (to pedophiles) is what he’s doing,” Nigg Jr. added. “A guy walks in with all this money and celebrity and instead of flying under the radar, he’s going into the yard, walking around with big guys, saying no one can mess with me, flashing his money around.”
I’d say that’s probably true. Men in prison don’t take kindly to others that exploit children. No matter how heinous their crimes, it seems almost instinctive to try and protect children or seek revenge for a child that has been harmed, especially sexually, but an adult. Just recall the story from last year where Steven D. Sandison murdered his cellmate, Theodore Dyer, after Dyer would not stop talking about raping a 9-year-old girl.
“In his words, my uncle’s words, people convicted of these types of crimes, crimes against children, sexual predators, rapists, they shouldn’t be in a minimum-security prison,” Nigg told AZcentral.com. “He felt like it wasn’t fair. [Fogle] gets to order any food he wants, he can use his money to do things. This guy is coming and prancing in like he can do anything he wants.”
While Nigg suffered only a small cut to his hand, he was confined for a small stint in solitary for the attack.
Fogle’s problems are not over just because he pled guilty to and was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison for child porn charges. According to the Indy Star, Fogle and others are now being sued by an Indiana girl for $150,000 because she claims that while she stayed at times with Russell Taylor (Fogle’s former foundation chariman, who is serving 27 years) and his wife, she was videoed by a hidden camera while she changed clothes and bathed. The girl’s lawsuit was filed on Tuesday in the federal district court for the Southern District of Indiana.
