Epstein Suicide Mystery Deepens with More Missing Prison Footage

The idea that Jeffrey Epstein simply hung himself while under lock and key in a Manhattan correctional facility has been under scrutiny from the very moment that the news broke.

Epstein, a wealthy and well-connected convicted pedophile was serving time, awaiting trial on charges of child sex trafficking at the time, after being handed an ultra-lenient sentence a decade prior for similar charges.

And when we say “well-connected”, we mean that he was friends with folks like Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew.

Furthermore, Epstein had recently been taken off of suicide watch after a previous attempt was made just weeks prior – an unusual circumstance given the high profile nature of the prisoner.

Now, another bizarre piece of the puzzle has been uncovered, this time involving the camera footage that existed of Epstein’s first attempt.

Surveillance video near deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s New York City prison cell during his first suicide attempt is missing, prosecutors said Wednesday, according to the New York Daily News.

Speaking before a White Plains District Court, Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Swergold said he and others have not been able to track down the security footage outside of Epstein’s cell, which he shared with accused murderer Nick Tartaglione.

The Daily News reports:

A spokesman for the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s Office and Bruce Barket, an attorney for Tartaglione, confirmed the stunning revelation that the footage was not preserved. Tartaglione’s attorneys filed a request for the footage to be retained two days after Epstein’s unsuccessful suicide attempt on July 23, Barket said.

Epstein’s death has created a cavalcade of controversy and conspiracy online, with many believing that he was either killed in jail by someone acting on behalf of his high-profile pals, or, in an even wilder theory, that Epstein himself is still alive, being smuggled out of jail through a phony suicide.

There is no evidence to suggest that either hypothesis has any merit whatsoever.
