Former Mexican President Vicente Fox on Trump: "I'm Not Going to Pay for that… Wall!"

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox recently spoke with liberal journalist and activist Jorge Ramos and told him very clearly what he thinks of GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.

During an interview on Fusion Fox grew heated when the conversation turned to Trump.

Vicente Fox: “I’m not going to pay for that f***ing wall! He should pay for it. He’s got the money.”

Jorge Ramos: “Are you afraid that he’s going to be the next President of the United States? What would that mean for Mexico?”

Vicente Fox: “No no no, democracy can not take that, crazy people that don’t know what is going on in the world today. This worries me, the last caucus in Nevada… he won 44 percent of Hispanics… I’d like to know who those Hispanics are, because they are followers of a false prophet. He’s going to take them to the desert, and if they think that they will benefit with an administration led by Donald Trump, they’re wrong. They must open their eyes. Please, you Hispanics in the U.S., open your eyes. It is not to defend our race, it is not to defend our creed, but to defend the same nation that is hosting you. This nation is going to fail if it goes into the hands of a crazy guy.
What is Trump? He’s not a Republican. Absolutely not. Those are not the Republican principles. He is not a Democrat. He is just himself. He is egocentric.”

True to form, Mr. Trump used the occasion to boost his own coverage and play the wounded politician, arguing that he would never use such vulgarity and adding that if he did, it would cause an uproar. Trump failed to mention that he’d already used a handful of vulgarities during the campaign, and worse, had directed them at specific people (not just a wall). None of the previous occasions of Trump’s “rough” language had caused the media firestorm that Trump was insinuating.

The larger question from this interview may come from Fox’s assertions that there was simply no way that Mexico would ever agree to pay to build a wall. If this is true, then the question becomes… how will President Trump build his wall? Who will pay for it?
