Georgia: Man Gets Only Time Served For Kidnapping, Raping, Torturing & Holding In a Dog Cage A 15-Year-Old Girl

Atlanta, GA — In the country with the world’s largest prison population, who sentences non-violent offenders to life in prison for a plant, one would think that kidnapping and child rape charges would likely land a person in prison for a very long time. However, one would be wrong.

Michael Wysolovski, 33, admitted to luring a 15-year-old girl to his home in 2016 where he engaged in abusive sexual torture for over a year. He kept his victim in a dog cage and let her out only to rape her. These horrific acts carried out on an innocent child, however, will go unpunished and Wysolovski will not be going to jail.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution:

Wysolovski was arrested in June 2017 after FBI agents and Gwinnett County police found a 17-year-old North Carolina girl who had been missing for more than a year in his Duluth home. She was malnourished, had ringworm and suffered from back problems because she had been repeatedly been held in a dog cage, her father said in a victim impact statement Thursday.

Wysolovski had been previously indicted on charges of rape, aggravated sodomy, cruelty to children, false imprisonment and interstate interference with custody.

He met the girl online when she was 15 through a forum for people with anorexia. She said she was unhappy at home and Wysolovski convinced her to come live with him. Once she was 16, the girl walked three miles from her Charlotte area home and met him on the side of an interstate. The victim spent much of her time with Wysolovski in a home in Decatur before they moved to Duluth.

Police found the victim after she tried to leave but Wysolovski would not let her, so she reached out to another person on an anorexia forum who contacted the FBI.

Thanks to a horrifically broken system, Wysolovski was sentenced to 10 years in prison with all of that time suspended after pleading guilty to just two charges of first-degree cruelty to children and interstate interference with custody. The eight months he spent in jail before making bail, according to the court, was enough time as punishment for holding a child against her will in a dog cage and raping her.

Even though this predator lured the child in at 15, she turned 16 while being held at his home, which is when the sexual abuse took place. Because Georgia’s age of consent is just 16, Wysolovski escaped the child rape charges. To highlight the utterly backward nature of the state’s laws, child cruelty charges can be applied for a abuse against children up to 17.

Because his victim was 16, the child rape and aggravated sodomy charges were dropped in his plea deal. However, this abusive sicko must still register as a sex offender as the specific child cruelty charge to which he pleaded guilty specified that the cruelty was caused by “excessive physical pain during sexual intercourse.”

Wysolovski had also submitted the child to other means of torture by water-boarding her. According to the victim, this led to her developing a debilitating fear of baths and showers. By all definitions, this man is a monster, but he will not be going to jail.

Prosecutors claimed that the “relationship” between Wysolovski and his victim existed in a “gray area” of “consent” that would have been too risky to bring to a jury. We disagree.

As KSN reported, holding a stuffed animal and speaking in a soft voice, the victim told the court: “The psychological damage Michael Wysolovski inflicted is beyond imagination.”

Sadly, the man who inflicted this horrifying damage on this poor child will not be punished for his crimes. And we call this justice in the land of the free.

This insultingly low, or rather, lack of sentencing seems to be turning into a pattern. As the state kidnaps and cages people for substances deemed illegal, throwing them in cages for years and even decades, they are allowing admitted child predators to walk free.

Just last week, TFTP reported on the case of Shane Piche, a school bus driver, who pleaded guilty to raping a 14-year-old girl who rode his bus.

Last year, Piche lured the child to his home after school where he gave her alcohol before raping her. He admitted to the facts of this case, yet the legal system which is ostensibly in place to protect society’s most vulnerable didn’t give him so much as a slap on the wrist.

For this horrific act, Piche will spend the next 10 years on probation — but he won’t see a single day behind bars — a terrifying notion indeed.

When a system seems more concerned with going after people for illegal substances than they are with taking child rapists out of society, it’s high time we bring that system into question.
