Home » Government Shutdown: More Non-Essential Personnel & Services Should Be Scrapped Permanently
Today it was announced that the US Federal Government shuts down. Well, not really. In fact, only a portion of the Federal Government shuts down. And these are NON-ESSENTIAL personnel and services. Well, Step 1 to cutting spending and waste, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
Now, obviously, these personnel will get paid when reinstated because that’s the way our corrupt system works, but WHAT IF we furloughed non-essential workers and services and did NOT reinstate? Wouldn’t that be called “efficiency”?
In fact, the longer a government “shutdown” goes on, the more we learn just how well we can get along without them. It’s kind of like breaking up with your girlfriend, dreading being lonely, then finding out you like the space and silence.
This is what the Federal Government actually fears: We the People knowing we can live our lives just fine with a smaller government.
Not only that, but we should KEEP ON cutting non-essential personnel and services until we come to the fork in the road where we are facing ACTUAL problems.
This is the EASY way to cutting the spending, without having to do any legislation whatsoever.
The dirty little secret: If they don’t fund it, they can’t spend it.
Don’t expect the thrashing dinosaur to die quietly. Instead, expect them to make you notice their absence. Like a psycho ex- who can’t let it go, the Federal Government will stalk you, key your car, and make crank calls. If that doesn’t work, they will harass you and your friends, even family, and perhaps make false accusations of murder against you!
So, we must stand fast and be courageous. Don’t give in to the crying and bleating of the Federal Government. Don’t let them back into your life! You don’t need their harassing IRS, snooping NSA, incompetent legislation. All you need is the Constitution.
And the longer this goes on, the better it will feel. As the evolutionists say, you will adapt. Naturally, I know we adapt anyway, I’m just adding an extra jab.
So this is winning all the way around.
We get rid of these parasites, we balance the budget, we learn to live without them, and we make an argument for 2014 and beyond.
The question is, Will the Republicans vote to fund the government and let these creeps back into our lives?
I don’t know about you, but I’m liking this. The sun is shining a bit brighter and it’s a nice temperature. The park is filled with cheerful children. It’s a breath of fresh air.
If the Republicans DO reopen the government full blast, and I think they will, they are traitors; traitors to this country and traitors to peace of mind.
So, enjoy your government shutdown while you can!
