Home » Governor Andrew Cuomo: “Extreme” Conservatives “Have No Place In New York”

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has given conservatives a warning: Get out of New York. In abhorrently fascist statements made to the The Capitol Pressroom, Governor Cuomo is making his true feelings about conservatives known. Though it’s hardly surprising that Governor Andrew Cuomo would harbor such disdain for conservatives, it is still dictatorial for any Governor to tell a voting block they’re not wanted. In his comments, Cuomo is showing a truth about New York and what it has become. With Marxist, jihadist supporting mayor Bill de Blasio refashioning New York City, the state is becoming an Islamic safe haven. It is a state where conservatives will be targeted for their beliefs, and Islamists will be revered for theirs. This is the leftist progressive dream, and it is coming to pass.

Governor Andrew Cuomo is not mincing words when it comes to those he labels as “extreme” conservatives. For a potential 2016 Democratic Presidential candidate, his words are harsh and cruel. He’s making it plain and simple: leave New York if you’re an “extreme” conservative. In addressing the Tea Party, without naming it, he makes it very clear who he’s going after.

You have a schism within the Republican Party. … They’re searching to define their soul, that’s what’s going on. Is the Republican party in this state a moderate party or is it an extreme conservative party? That’s what they’re trying to figure out. It’s a mirror of what’s going on in Washington. The gridlock in Washington is less about Democrats and Republicans. It’s more about extreme Republicans versus moderate Republicans.

You’re seeing that play out in New York. … The Republican Party candidates are running against the SAFE Act — it was voted for by moderate Republicans who run the Senate! Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.

Governor Andrew Cuomo is declaring war upon “extreme” conservatives in his own state of New York. In saying that the people who are “pro-life, anti-homosexual, and pro-gun” have no place in New York, he is essentially saying that these people are making themselves targets. Governor Cuomo has a lengthy track record of gun control legislation. But his assault against “extreme” conservatives crossed all lines. New York is going to Hell in a progressive hand-basket; and, no doubt, that basket will be held by an Islamic jihadist.

The governor’s suggestion that, for example, those who hold anti-abortion views have no place in the state prompted Dennis Poust, spokesman for the state Catholic Conference, to observe on Twitter, “My governor thinks there’s no place in NY for people like me. Can I get a state grant to relocate?” (And where to — New Hampshire, maybe?)

Michael Long, who heads the state Conservative Party, told The Buffalo News that Cuomo’s rhetoric went too far.

“For him to try to paint people who have different points of view that they are odd and extreme, I think is bad language for the governor of the state of New York,” said Long.

These are more than fighting words. This is bad language for a governor to tell any constituents to vacate the state. However, it fits with the progressive manifesto. As New York turns into a leftist progressive “dream” state, the nightmare will rear its ugly head, with conservatives being reviled and Islam will be revered. At Bill de Blasio’s inauguration was Iman Askia Muhammad of the Department of Corrections.

Imam Askia Muhammad was chosen as a prison chaplain to deliver a prayer, which he did, beginning by praising Bill De Blasio and urged that “the needs of the people be treated as holy”. It was a boilerplate invocation of Bill de Blasio’s agenda. But less remarked upon was who the Imam was.

The Department of Corrections’ chaplain got his start in the Nation of Islam and eventually joined Wallace Deen Mohammed’s more conventionally Islamic, American Society of Muslims, (aka American Muslim Mission) which had more Mohammed and fewer UFOs and mad scientists than conventional Nation of Islam theology.

Without coming out and saying it, New York is siding with Islam and trying to drive conservatives out of the state. Though Bill de Blasio is decidedly more progressive than Governor Andrew Cuomo, they still speak the same language. He’s sending a message that it is not acceptable to be a conservative in the state of New York. “Extreme” conservative New Yorkers will be targeted for their beliefs, while radical leftists will have free reign, a reign of terror. This is New York, the state that was once was so vigilant in the war on terror. 9/11 happened here, but today, one would never know it. Islam just won the war in New York, which will, in essence, have a national domino effect.
