There was once an aura of awe surrounding the office of the President here in the United States, but it seems as though that has all changed.
Thanks to the constant, divisive nature of the mainstream media, we are now seeing an degradation of the respect given to the Commander in Chief – a person whose sheer amount of responsibility would cripple any of us ordinary Americans. This is, of course, all a part of the “resistance” to President Trump that sprung up after the 2016 election and the defeat of Hillary Clinton.
The first truly egregious incident came from self-described “D-list” comedian Kathy Griffin, whose Trump-beheading photo stunt broke the crass ceiling. Two weeks later, a former Bernie Sanders campaign staffer opened fire on the GOP charity baseball team, horrifically injuring Louisiana State Rep. Steve Scalise before being terminally incapacitated by Capitol Police.
Despite the obvious and horrible ramifications of this uncouth gesture, several Hollywood types have provided their own violent, anti-Trump imagery to the nation. The latest to join the fracas is Mickey Rourke.
We must warn you, the language ahead is quite strong.
In an extraordinary expletive-laden rant filmed by TooFab, the Oscar-nominated star said he had “personal” beef with the 45th president over an incident where Trump allegedly sued him and late rapper Tupak Shakur.
“That piece of s**t that’s sitting in the White House, that p**sy, that lying co****cker. That no-good f****ng two-faced f****ng piece of s**t,” Mickey Rourke said in the video. “He said some really nasty things about the two of us. And you know what? It’s personal. There’s gonna be a day where he ain’t president, and we’re gonna bump into each other. And you’re gonna feel me.”
Then came the ugliest bit of the rant.
When asked by the interviewer whether he’d ever use his boxing prowess to give Trump a “left hook,” Rourke responded: “What do you think? A left hook from hell.”
There is little doubt that Rourke will be explaining these comments to the Secret Service in the not-so-distant future.
