Throughout this global pandemic, there have been concerns over the state of affair in North Korea, thanks to the tiny nation’s notorious secrecy.
On paper, North Korea claimed that they had seen zero cases of coronavirus – a number that is simply impossible given their geographic proximity to nations who have had outbreaks, and the fact that their medical infrastructure is operating at a technological level decades behind the rest of planet.
For all we know, North Korea is being ravaged by COVID-19, and providing the deadly virus an unsuspecting population on which to thrive.
Now, to make matters even more uncertain, there are rumors that the nation’s “supreme leader” has died.

Kim Jong Un is rumored to be dead, according to a Hong Kong broadcast network, while a Japanese magazine is reporting that North Korea’s rocket man is in a “vegetative state” after he underwent heart surgery earlier this month.
A vice director of HKSTV Hong Kong Satellite Television, a Beijing-backed broadcast network in Hong Kong, claimed that Kim was dead, citing a “very solid source.” Her post on the Chinese messaging app Weibo has been shared widely on social media, according to a report in the International Business Times.
If true, there is a concern that the already-volatile country could find itself in upheaval or, worse yet, that the next tyrant in the dynastic Kim family hierarchy could be far more sadistic than the one that came before.
