Liberal Argues For Right Of Terrorist Organization Hamas To Exist

On Monday, Fox News’ Sean Hannity had as guests on his show Katie Pavlich from Townhall.com and President of the American Together Foundation Michael Ghouse. It seemed that Ghouse had his talking points, but could never answer direct questions with regard to why Israel had a right to defend itself. At one point, Ghouse was even arguing that the terrorist organization Hamas has a right to exist!

During the discussion, Sean Hannity actually pointed out that Hamas’ “founding charter calls for the destruction of Israel.” Ghouse immediately said that he read the charter and there is no such thing as that in the charter. Perhaps he missed the very first section under “In the Name of the Most Merciful Allah.” Either that, or he’s lying.

The charter, or as it is more commonly referred to as The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) reads:

Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it” (The Martyr, Imam Hassan al-Banna, of blessed memory).

While Ghouse wanted to condemn the firing of some 8-9,000 rockets fired into Israel, he also condemned Israel defending itself by sending air strikes where the missiles were coming from.

He also went on to state that he believed that the Islamic world wanted peace, but that there will be no peace with the fighting going on like it is now. It was brought up to him over and over that the Egyptian leadership under the Muslim Brotherhood, Iran and others have encouraged and supported Hamas, but he would have none of it.

Finally around the 9:00 mark in the video below Ghouse proclaimed that Hamas “has a right to exist.” When called on this by Pavlich, Ghouse asked, “Are you suggesting massacre them, holocaust them?”

Pavlich then clarified that she suggested that “they stop firing rockets into Israel so that Israel doesn’t have to retaliate.”

When he tried to play the “genocide” card Pavlich quickly shut him down on that and talked about the funding of Iran to Hamas, while its leaders proclaimed there was no holocaust, referring to Hitler’s Germany.

Ghouse then attempted to state that Hamas was the government and democratically elected and so they must be dealt with and he said “we need to find peace with them, we cannot kill them.”

Finally, when asked about Hamas leader Ahmed Jabari being killed and if it was a “good thing,” Ghouse said “It was the right thing to do, get the bad guy out.” In the end it seems that at least in that instance he was in agreement that taking out terrorist leaders is a good thing.

Friends, I believe Israel has a right like all nations do to defend themselves from anyone that attacks them. I have seen a lot of doctored photos and photos from other parts of the world such as Syria trying to be played as if they are from Gaza in attempts to blame Israel. I have heard the cries of MSNBC that Hamas rockets don’t do that much damage. That is not the point. They’ve been firing upwards of 9,000 of those rockets into Israel!

I don’t believe we should be providing foreign aid money to any of these nations mentioned. We need to get our own house in order, but I will stand by the fact that Israel has a right to defend herself and if Hamas is so stupid that it shoots mere firecrackers at Israel and then cries when they get a smackdown from an airstrike, well then they either need to quit firing those rockets or man up and bring something bigger, but you don’t go provoking someone like that and then cry like a bunch of babies when you get your hind parts handed to you.

I’m not for warmongering. I too would like peace with those who want peace, but when one of your main directives that you have outlined is that there will be no peace until Israel is “obliterated,” well then I say Israel should just go on and get it over with and completely defeat their enemies. If they surrender, fine, but no more of this provoking Israel and then crying because you get spanked on the world stage.
