We all knew it was going to happen. The latest mass shooting in Santa Barbara has giving rise to the Mental Health and Gun Violence Bill. For a government that moves remarkably slowly when addressing the needs of the voters this bill was drawn up very quickly…too quickly.
The chances are this has been in the making for some time, getting re-worded and refined as each incident has taken place.
The definitions of the mental health issues will no doubt be added to over time, including those definitions that could apply to any one of us.
A man, or woman, holding a legal weapon to protect their family will become “A paranoid personality overly concerned, and dwelling on, the possibility of home invasion”
The hockey mom who carries a weapon in the glove box to defend against potential car-jackers or worse will be re-branded as a risk to mankind due to her overwhelming urges to shoot anyone approaching her car.
The list will grow until it includes everyone and anyone…leaving only the government and its appointees carrying arms.
We already know that anyone who has a stockpile of food is considered an enemy of the state, that anyone who speaks out about the government is bookmarked and as an anarchist. The government aim is to over-ride our right to bear arms, they have raised the bar with this bill and one way or another it will eventually affect us all.
