Wait, I thought we lived in America? Michigan’s out of control, left-wing Governor, Gretchen Whitmer, is now demanding that bars and restaurants collect the names and phone numbers of their customers as to satisfy her draconian coronavirus rules.
Whitmer claims that she needs this information for “contact tracing” when there are outbreaks of COVID-19 because people dared to go out and eat in her locked down state.
The gov. has instructed the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to begin putting her Gestapo-like rule into effect on Monday, according to Fox News.
Scott Ellis, executive director of the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association, says the new rules are overbearing.

“Our frontline servers have already had trouble dealing with masks and mandates and mandating masks,” Ellis told Fox 17. “We did de-escalation training and all kinds of other things to help with that and now we’re taking to the next level. We have to gather someone’s personal information?”
“I think when you’re going to sit down at a restaurant you just don’t expect someone to take your name and number because you’re coming to have a drink or a burger.” Ellis added.
Whitmer’s new mandate would restrict the number of patrons in an establishment to 50 or less and would allow only up to six people per table. Bars and restaurants who refuse to follow her orders will supposedly be fined $1,000.
