It looks as though some murdered babies may possibly see justice done. Dr. Kermit Gosnell, a serial child murderer, commonly referred to in the sanitized vernacular of “abortionist,” is now on trial in Philadelphia and charged with seven counts of first-degree murder. Gosnell allegedly cut the spinal cords of late-term babies who were born alive and then joked to a co-worker, “This baby is big enough to walk around with me or walk me to the bus stop.” Warning: Graphic photos are included.
I confess that as I read some of the details and even as I write I am nearly physically ill from the depravity of this man and his actions. Gosnell is 72 years old and ran a multi-million dollar child murdering business in West Philadelphia. He was arrested on January 19, 2011.
Kermit Gosnell is not only charged with the murder of babies, but also charged with the third degree murder of a pregnant woman, Karnamaya Mongar, 41, who died in his office after being given a pain killer. He is also charged with conspiracy and violation of Pennsylvania’s law against post-24-week murders of the unborn.

The baby to the left, Baby Boy A, was born at around seven to eight months after conception, according to the Grand Jury report. After thirteen hours in labor as a result of being given a large amount of Cytotec to induce labor and delivery, this baby was born and was approximately 18 to 19 inches long and the woman testifying, Kareema Cross, “recorded a gestational age of 29.4 weeks,” but said he was “nearly the size of her own six pound, six ounce, newborn daughter.
The woman testifying then told what followed the birth. “After about 10 to 20 second, while the mother was asleep, ‘the doctor just slit the neck,’ said Cross. Gosnell put the boy’s body in a shoebox. Cross described the baby as so big that his feet and arms hung out over the sides of the container. Cross said that she saw the baby move after his neck was cut and after the doctor placed it in the shoebox.”
Gosnell told her, “it’s the baby’s reflexes. It’s not really moving.”
There can be no doubt that this precious child’s last moments were filled with a tremendous amount of pain. In fact, according to the report, “the neonatologist testified that what Gosnell told his people was absolutely false. If a baby moves, it is alive. Equally troubling, it feels a ‘tremendous amount of pain’ when its spinal cord is severed. So, the fact that Baby Boy A continued to move after his spinal cord was cut with scissors means that he did not die instantly. Maybe the cord was not completely severed. In any case, his few moments of life were spent in excruciating pain.”
Anyone looking at this photo, which was taken with a cell phone camera, knows this is wrong and knows it is murder. The report goes on to state that Adrienne Moton and Ashley Baldwin, along with Cross, took photographs because they knew this was a baby that could and should have lived. Cross explained when questioned as to why she took a picture of the baby, “Because it was big and it was wrong and we knew it. We knew something was wrong.”
“I’m not sure who took the picture first,” she continued, “but when we seen (sic) this baby, it was – it was a shock to us because I never seen a baby that big that he had done. So it was – I knew something was wrong because everything, like you can see everything, the hair, eyes, everything. And I never seen for any other procedure that he did, I never seen any like that.”
I’ll point out that hair, eyes and other things are not the marks of life here. This woman was just confronted with the fact that there could be no denying this was a human being, but that does not then justify the murder of those much smaller and less developed.
This one baby was among tens of thousands that were murdered at the hands of Gosnell and his associates, but there are more.
Baldwin also recounted a birth of a baby that actually cried and she “remembered Gosnell severing the neck of a baby that cried after being born.”
According to the report, after the baby had “precipitated,” it was then placed in a basin. “Ashley heard the infant cry,” reads the report. “She saw the baby move while it was on the counter. She estimated the infant was at least 12 inches long. When Gosnell arrived at the clinic, she recalled, ‘he snipped the neck, and said there is nothing to worry about, and he suctioned it.’”
According to NBC Philadelphia,
Gosnell faces the death penalty if convicted of first-degree murder in the infant deaths. He is charged with third-degree murder in Mongar’s death.
Eight co-defendants have pleaded guilty, most of whom will testify against Gosnell. Three of them pleaded guilty to third-degree murder, which carries a 20- to 40-year term. They have not yet been sentenced.
The only former employee on trial with Gosnell is Eileen O’Neill of Phoenixville, who allegedly held herself out as a doctor at the clinic when she was not licensed. Her lawyer was set to give his opening statements Monday afternoon.
Gosnell has pled not guilty.
While Gosnell’s legal team call it “a prosecutorial lynching’ and “an elitist, racist prosecution” because Gosnell is black, they apparently have no conscience in this matter knowing the facts as they are. Apparently Gosnell and his legal team are unaware of the history of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger and the abortion industry. They all targeted the black community. The irony is that the black community still follows these people leading them to their eventual extermination as an ethnic group. They continue to support the Democrat Party that talks to them about their “choice,” “free sex,” and “free contraceptives,” but they never breech the subject of destroying their posterity for money.
This my friends is probably what drives some people to go and bring justice on the home front to abortion doctors. I’m not saying it’s right, but I can sure understand the sentiment. Everything in us cries out for justice to be done in such matters and our hope is that those who are the ministers of God in the civil sphere would bring down justice upon the guilty as the blood of these babies and many more cry out to God for it.
The irony in all of this, is that among the thousands of murders performed in his “clinic,” he is only facing the charges of these few, but there will be an accounting to his Maker one day. It is also quite telling that those in the industry of serial murder of the unborn are testifying against this man.
