It is no surprise that a mayor, who would have supported Stalin over Churchill, did support thugs over his own police department, and generally hates for people to think for themselves, has a problem with people making money. But to ask your neighbors to boycott a business that pays taxes seems counterproductive. Even Stalin liked tax revenue.
The reason behind this strange call is also not surprising.
Mayor Bill de Blasio and members of the New York City Council are calling for a city-wide boycott of Chick-fil-A – urging citizens to refrain from eating plump, juicy chicken breasts tucked between hot buttered buns.
“I’m certainly not going to patronize them and I wouldn’t urge any other New Yorker to patronize them,” the mayor told DNAInfo.com.
Now if you are scratching your head wondering how you missed Chick-fil-A doing something to receive such ire from these politicians, stop worrying. The offense happened years ago, and these liberal nuts have not gotten over it yet.
Well, Chick-fil-A is owned by a devoutly Christian family. Back in 2012 company president Dan Cathy ruffled feathers by telling a reporter that he believed marriage is between a man and a woman.
You see, this has nothing to do with the company’s treatment of employees or customers. It has nothing to do with commercials or any other thing. It has to do with the late owner’s thoughts. What he thought was based on Christian beliefs, found in the Bible.
Though these people claim that there is anti-LGBT policy, practices, and messages coming from Chick-fil-A, this is a lie. And it seems that the Mayor’s efforts have fallen flat. But who can be surprised? It is some of the best fast food around.
Oh yeah! It is God who blesses and not governments. Funny how we forget that truth.
