Police have claimed that they don’t know the “belief system” of Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock, but it seems that he might have a been a recent convert to Islam, which would also coincide with a call earlier this year by the Islamic State for jihad in Vegas, and the group’s claim of responsibility.
Police said they didn’t know 64-year-old Paddock’s belief system.
When asked by a reporter if it was an act of terrorism, Sheriff Joseph Lombardo, of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said: “No, not at this point. We believe it was a local individual. He resides here locally.”
“I’m not at liberty to give you his place of residence yet, because it’s an ongoing investigation, we don’t know what his belief system was at this time,” he added. “Right now we believe he is the sole aggressor at this point and the scene is static.”

“As far as his history and his background, we haven’t completed that part of the investigation yet,” the sheriff said.
While Paddock had a criminal record, apparently there were no known ties to Islamic terrorism.
Still, The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The Islamic State issued a statement via its news agency, Amaq, claiming responsibility for the shooting, which claimed the lives of at least 50 people and injured more than one hundred.
ISIS referred to Paddock as a “soldier of the Islamic State.”
“The Las Vegas attacker is a soldier of the Islamic State in response to calls to target coalition countries,” it said.
Isis also claimed the gunman “converted to Islam several months ago”, without providing more details.
Yet, according to Reuters, two unnamed US officials discounted that claim and said that Paddock had a history of psychological problems and that there was no evidence that the Islamic State was behind the shooting.
Well, I’m not so quick to buy into everything the government tells me, especially when they have been known to lie to our faces and whitewash Islamic terrorism.
Still, the claim that there is no evidence is questionable at best.
Back in May, the Islamic State put out at a video calling for a lone wolf attack on Vegas.

The terror propaganda video, released by ISIS on May 17, features extremist fighters from the US, Canada, the UK, Russia and Belgium, who call on Muslims living in the West to carry attacks on civilian targets.
The chilling ISIS threat video, unusually long for propaganda from the group, also features a man who appears to be American calling on lone wolf supporters to ‘liberate’ themselves and kill those who reject Islam by stabbing them, throwing them off buildings and driving cars into citizens.
As images of The Strip, as well as New York’s Times Square and Washington DC, flash across the screen, ISIS spokesman Abu Al-Hassan Al-Muhajir is heard urging lone wolf attacks in America, Russia and Europe, according to an analysis of the video by the Middle East Research Institute.
“Know that our war with our enemy is an all out war and the interests of the enemy can be easily targeted,” read English subtitles to the screed in Arabic.
“Make sure they are preoccupied with their own safety, thus diverting their attention away from your Caliphate,” Al-Hassan adds.
A song by German rapper Deso Dogg, whose real name is Denis Cuspert, a known ISIS militant, is played in the background of the video.
At the time, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Capt. Christopher Darcy, who heads the Southern Nevada Counter-Terrorism Center, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal, “I think anytime somebody goes on the internet and makes a threat that they’re going to conduct a lone-wolf or any type of attack, it’s our responsibility to view it as a credible threat.”
“It would be irresponsible not to take any threat as credible, especially when made by a group such as ISIS, who has in fact carried out attacks in the past,” he added.
While I’m not saying this was an Islamic attack, it very well could be, and the road was already paved for that to take place.
Before you tell me, hey, the guy was white, remember, Islam is an ideology, not a race, despite what Democrats and those who engage in taqiyya would have you believe. Islam knows no bounds when it comes to ethnicity.
My guess is that this may be closely tied to Antifa than the Islamic State, especially since Paddock’s alleged suicide is largely different from Islamic jihadis who prefer martyrdom.
