Home » Ride for the Constitution Gets Set to Stand with Veterans March on Washington
Truckers are on the move again after regrouping at a rest area and are roaring to go for round 2 on Day 2 of the Trucker Ride for the Constitution.
According to an update provided by General Lee, there were approximately 200 trucks in the convoy he was leading into downtown Washington this afternoon and maybe 100 trucks in the other convoy that was in Virginia at the time. The General stated they were picking up truckers along the way as the convoy circles the Beltway and rides through DC.
During the live broadcast, Pete Santilli spoke with General Lee via phone. TBS, Tokoyo Broadcasting, is currently riding with General Lee to cover the event. Because of the lack of coverage by the US mainstream media, Santilli declared a 24 hour US MSM media blackout – no one with the event will be speaking to or providing any information to the major news agencies. Santilli requested that any US MSM organization riding with any trucker be thrown out along the highway. Only supporters of this event will be provided information to disperse to the public.
Today, the trucker group has pledged its support to the veterans of foreign wars due to the rampant disrespect the federal government, particularly the Obama administration, is demonstrating toward these American heroes. In honor of the veterans, the group will now change the hashtag to #T2VETS. The General has agreed and will pass the word to the convoy.
Santilli contacted Larry Ward, a former Special Forces member of the military, to pledge the trucker support for the veterans on the Million Veteran March to the war memorial. His group is called Special Operations Speaks, who is fed-up with the way this administration is treating the veterans of this country. Ward reported that the administration has labeled returning veterans terrorists while denying Muslims and members of Islam as terrorists. Mr. Ward identified the removal of doctors for veteran care and replacing them with nurse practitioners as a big issue concerning these heroes. While Mr. Ward was on the show, 21st Century Wire reported to Mr. Santilli that two bus loads of veterans were being detained by police at the Iwo Jima Memorial.
There were reports that a group from Texas removed the barricades at the memorial. Ten police officers arrived and parked their cars around the memorial denying the veterans access. Military police also arrived on the scene and moved everyone back causing the buses of veterans to walk an excessive distance to visit their memorial. According to Santilli, truckers are on the way to the Imo Jima and WWII memorials in order to help remove barricades/barbed wire to allow veterans to gain access to their memorials. It is expected that truckers will start at the WWII memorial first.
A caller named Terrie was meeting up with the trucking convoy to buy a meal and furnish fuel to one of the convoy members. Santilli had nominated General Lee but the General refused preferring to use his own funds to cover his expense during the event. The General will designate a trucker to receive Terrie’s generous donation and award her with a ride-a-long around the beltway.
Folks, this is absolutely marvelous. Americans have come together in one voice and more are continuing to join this weekend.
Remember, do not buy anything this weekend or conduct any money transactions whatsoever. Please show your support in any way that you can.
America, this is your time. Let’s live it!
