Schiff Sends Mixed Signals on 'Ironclad' Impeachment by Refusing to Reveal Next Steps

If there is one thing that could be said for the Democrats’ wide-ranging “formal impeachment inquiry, it is that its aimlessness will be its downfall.

For literally years now, the liberal left has been looking for ways to “get” President Trump.  He has been under the thumb of possible impeachment from the very moment that he was elected, with any number of prominent and pontificating progressives attempting to convince the world of that at any given time.  We’ve seen the RussiaGate conspiracy theory come and go, as well as his supposed “concentration camps” on the southern border, (and Obama invention, by the way), and then, now, UkraineGate – a confusing and meandering mess of political chaos that has created more questions than it has answered…at least in terms of Democratic motive.

Despite the severe doubt that this latest scandal is any more damning than the others, and the foreknowledge that this impeachment “inquiry” will end in acquittal in the Senate, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff believes that the case is “ironclad”.

Despite claiming to have an “ironclad” case for impeachment against President Trump, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., refused to say if the commander in chief will be impeached, when asked point-blank during a Sunday television interview.

“This president has now twice sought foreign interference in our election… when [Trump] invited the Russians to hack Hillary’s emails and later that day they attempted to do exactly that. There is a sense of urgency when you have a president who’s threatening the integrity of our elections,” he said on CNN’s “State of the Union”

“We need to act now if we’re going to act, and we can’t allow this obstruction to succeed,” Schiff continued. “The other point I would make is, the case in terms of the Ukraine misconduct is ironclad, but so is the case of the president’s obstruction of the Congress.”

Here’s the embarrassing part.

Despite displaying supreme confidence in Trump’s guilt, the California Democrat was unable to answer host Jake Tapper when asked if Trump would eventually be impeached, earlier in the interview.

So much for the “ironclad” case, eh?
