The left wing pulled out all the stops prior to the 2012 elections by saying that Voter ID Laws are “racist” and Republicans are trying to “prevent poor people from voting” because the “poor” do not have I.D. You have to be kidding me. So-called MSNBC “journalists” cannot argue the fact that, in the 2008 election voter fraud was rampant via ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) and other left-wing outfits. So, they used the good old tried and true method and played the race card to cause even more division between Americans. I do not call that “good reporting.” I call that just the shameful tactic of a group that can’t argue a point logically. Shame on you MSNBC!

Liberal groups have said the requirements are the product of Republican-controlled state governments and aimed at disenfranchising people who tend to vote Democratic — African-Americans, Hispanics, the elderly, people of low-income and college students.
Proponents of such legislation say the measures aim at combating voter fraud. But advocacy groups for minorities and the poor dispute that and argue there is no evidence of significant voter fraud.”
I guess those advocacy groups have never heard of ACORN.
If a radical group, closely associated with the president of the United States and known for its efforts to undermine American democracy, was convicted in a massive voter fraud conspiracy, we should expect to hear something about it from the mainstream media, wouldn’t we? Wrong. Except for the odd FoxNews report and a few local reports there was a media blackout.
The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), was convicted in Las Vegas of felony “compensation” for registration of voters. Sentencing is scheduled for August 10. Nevada forbids compensating voter registration canvassers because it creates a financial incentive for fraudulent or sloppy registrations.
Significantly, this was the first time ACORN itself had been convicted of a crime. The fact that the nonprofit entity was found guilty strongly suggests that ACORN’s ambitious voter-fraud schemes were sanctioned at the highest levels. There is even the case of ACORN volunteers even registered Mickey Mouse as a Democrat.
It is inconceivable that during the 2012 elections President Obama won between 100 and up to 140% in separate districts, in 3 different states. That is almost impossible. The odds of doing so are comparable to winning a $400,000,000.00 Powerball jackpot on a $1.00 ticket, the odds are in the billions.
Let’s think about this for a minute.
- If you apply for: Food Stamps, Welfare, Section 8 Housing – you must show I.D.
- When being stopped by police for a traffic violation – you must show I.D.
- When paying by check – you must show I.D.
- When using a credit card to pay for items – you must show I.D. (this is to insure that you are the person whose name is on the credit card).
- If applying for credit at a store or for a car, or buying pretty much anything that you want credit for – you must show I.D.
- If a law enforcement officer stops you for violating the law – you must show I.D.
So, why not ensure against voting fraud by mandating that voters present identification?
I know it is a stretch for liberals to wrap this around their little pin heads, but what part of the above mentioned things do they not understand?
Progressive/Liberal/Democrats are in effect stating that if you are a minority, poor, elderly or a college student that you are either too incompetent or too poor to have identification, which the law requires.
Progressive/Liberal/Democrats do not have an exceptionally high opinion of the groups they supposedly advocate for. They assume that these groups, for some reason or another, do not have or cannot obtain some form of identification.
