University of California Announces It Won't Aid Feds Concerning Illegal Alien Students

We all have certain things that we believe should be changed. We have laws we believe to be unjust.

I think that abortion should be seen as murder and any doctor caught administering one should be tried for murder. But, this does not give me the right to attack an abortion doctor.

I cannot take the law into my own hands.

On the left, things are seen much differently. On the left, they think that they are above the law. The left is above the law because they know more than we do. At least that is the attitude that they exhibit when they refuse to obey the law.

One has only to look at the left-leaning places that think that they are above immigration laws. There are cities, states, and universities that will not participate in federal investigations of illegals. They refuse to take part in and arrest those who have broken our immigration laws.

That’s right, universities.

The University of California has just all but declared itself a sanctuary school.

The Washington Times reports:

The University of California system announced Wednesday that campus police will not undertake joint efforts with any law enforcement agencies to investigate students suspected of breaking federal immigration laws.

Police officers at the UC’s 10 campuses will not contact, detain, question or arrest any individual solely on the basis of immigration status, except as required by law, the school system said in a statement.

Now, I do not think that there is anything wrong with standing for what one believes. In fact, I think that standing for one’s beliefs are good. We need more people with spines in our society. We need more peaceful disobedience in our country.

But, we also need to understand that if I can stand for what I believe, then others should have the same right. Just because I do not believe in the stand that someone takes does not mean that I can switch how I feel about the right to stand.

The same people who would hinder the lawful detainment and deportation of criminals would force towns and communities to take Syrian refugees.

So, I say that California can keep their Mexicans who are here illegally if they agree to take everyone else’s share of Syrian refugees.
